i CURRENTLY can't please everyone.

You can't please everyone. I need to tell myself that. I'm ridiculous. Someone left me a 3.7 rating on the quality a product of mine at TPT. And it made me mad. The preview clearly shows what the product is. And it's of good quality. And cheap. Real cheap. UGH. I think it's just because I'm annoyed with just about everything right now today this week. This annoyance is probably going to continue until approximately 3:40 on Friday.

Approximately.

Took some pictures of my research project today, so the post will be up soon! I got so many compliments on my bulletin board with the craft on it! One of my kids literally brought in 100 TP rolls for the project. I wanted to keep the extras [youneverknowwhenyou'llneedthem]. But I'm pretty sure my new teaching partner [whocallsmeahoarder] wouldn't approve of large bags of TP rolls in the closet. So I sent my student down to the art teacher with them. Sigh.

Currently time!

I used a new font that I gathered from the last linky party that I joined! Not much explaining needed for this currently. Because I went to Jamaica over spring break, not much traveling is going to go on this summer. So I need to catch up with my college and high school friends. For my sanity's sake. I hate that I had to move away, and I truly feel like a piece of me is missing without my friends being close.

Go link up with Farley! I actually think that this is the quickest I've gotten to it! Probably because I'm avoiding the EOY stuff I lugged home in my bag. Que sara, sara my friends.

  1. Don't let it get you down. Your work is fantastic :)

The TP rolls had me cracking up. It's hard to let TP rolls go, isn't it?

  2. Ha, I totally get you on the Tp rolls. I had been saving a bag of them all year last year, and then when I was packing up my room (I moved), I decided to just chuck it. It was definitely a decision made after careful consideration, though!

  3. Haha, it took an army to get my room ready too. Note to self: next year, don't wait until the very last second. :)

  4. I must tell you that I also received a low rating on a TPT product. I think the person gave me a 3.5! I was so upset. As teachers, we are by nature perfectionists and we want to please everyone. Anyway, this product received about 5 4.0 ratings along with some nice comments prior to this low score. What really made me upset was that the buyer never wrote a comment explaining why he/she gave me the rating, so I never knew how I could improve the item. It was so frustrating! I ended up pulling it off of TPT because I was so upset. I also emailed TPT suggesting that they make it required to leave a written comment if they give the seller a low rating. I would have loved to have known what I could have done to make it better for that person. I hope my experience helps you feel better. Don't let it get you down. You sent me a place value task card set that I won from your blog and my kids LOVED it! :)

  5. I don't get why people do that on TPT! If they have a problem, why don't they just email you first & give you a chance to explain what is confusing them or let you fix a problem. That's just not right. Keep your chin up! I have seen your work & I think it's great! :)

  6. I know what you mean about being a hoarder. My best friend has to control me whenever I see things laying in the hall that someone is throwing away or giving away, I feel the need to go through it all. She carefully steers me away and repeatedly tells me that there is nothing there that I need! I am so very bad about keeping things, thinking I might need it later! No travel plans here either, just wishes! Don't let that one low rating from one person get you down. You know you have quality work!

  7. I do try to think really critically about my TpT ratings and not give all 4.0s. Because, let's face it, not every thing I download is perfect! Plus, as a TpT shopper, I like when even slight variations help the very very best stick out. But if I don't leave a 4.0, I really try to leave a comment so that the author (and other shoppers) know what the issue was. I think that's only fair, both to the author and anyone else looking for the best products to buy!

Still- I know that would completely bum me out, too! (And none of your TpT products look low-quality to me!)

  8. Don't let it bother you too much. We have all had low ratings. It's really frustrating when you have tons of 4.0's then you get a lower score. I really can't stand when I get comments saying the download doesn't work when it's worked for 24,000 others.

  10. I want to tell you not to let it bother you and just forget about it but I CAN'T because the same thing bothers me too since I am such a perfectionist!! I have received WAYYYYYY more positive and encouraging comments than negative comments or ratings though, so I'll just advise you to focus on your positive ones. That's how I get through it, hahaha. :)
